Today was my last day of this internship and like most of my days at Seneca Hills Golf Club I helped around the clubhouse and helped clean up by taking the trash and cardboard out and sweeping the carpets. This experience was a good one and I sure learned to do a lot of new jobs.
When I arrived today I helped Eric set up a tent for the first ever Columbian high school girls golf match. After that I mostly worked the register because Bobby was out of town so Eric had to oversee outside. Before I left it rained so I dried off the cart seats.
Today I began by picking up weeds and throwing them into the big trashcans outside the clubhouse. I then had to take out the big bags of trash to the dumpster and put new bags in the trashcans. After that I restocked the mini beer cooler behind the bar and got two buckets of ice for the cooler up front in the pro shop. Next I went out to pick as many range balls as I could to stock up for the week ahead.
I organized the drinks in the back room so that people would be able to walk through the aisle way. After I finished with that I went to restock the beer cooler and take out any trash that was in that room. I then finished typing up the wine list for Bobby's book idea and emailed him the final product.
Today I was a fill in for the beer girl so I loaded up the coolers and drove around the course for the two leagues that night. Once everyone was finishing up I unloaded the coolers and restocked the beer cooler up front in the pro shop. After I had unloaded the beer cart I helped close down the pro shop and clean up.
Today I scrubbed the buckets the golfers use to clean their clubs so that they were clean and had fresh water in them. Next I swept up rocks outside off of the concrete and into a groove they belonged. Once I finished with that I swept away cobwebs on the lights outside and swept around the chairs in front of the clubhouse. Then I helped around the pro shop for the rest of the day.
I helped around the pro shop today and picked range balls when we began to run low. Bobby then gave me the job of going to the store to buy the rolls of paper for receipts.
I began the day by checking my mailbox because I was gone for a week. There were notes with jobs I was to get to work on so I met with Bobby to get caught up. I began making a spreadsheet of names and information for the employees who work at Seneca Hills Golf Club. Next I stamped envelopes for Bobby and then checked to see what was on a CD that he had put in my mailbox. The CD had pictures from an event held in the clubhouse and Bobby wanted me to email him the pictures that any employees were in or that showed off the clubhouse. He is planning on using some of the pictures when they upgrade their website.
I helped around the pro shop by getting ice for the cooler up front, helped sell drinks, and cleaned up the back room. Then Bobby gave me the job of typing up a list of wines he has in a glass cabinet. He is going to make a book to sit by the cabinet so people can read about them.
Today I worked on more bare areas on the course and then I returned to the pro shop to help Eric with selling drinks and working the register.
